Friends of Pluto is one of DC's hottest cover bands, bringing you tunes that span the past five decades with a strong focus on the very best rock n roll of the ‘90s and 2000s — along with a few indie gems guaranteed to get your pulse pumping and feet moving.

Originally formed in 2017 as part of the 7DrumCity Flashband series, Friends of Pluto has made a name for itself with high-energy live shows and a unique setlist that never fails to have the audience singing along with classic hits (and some songs you forgot you loved). The band's strong rhythm section, blazing guitars, soaring vocals and tight harmonies have helped Friends of Pluto pack venues across the DC area, including The Pocket, Saufhaus, New Deal Cafe, and more. Animal Run, a DC-based power trio made up of Ben, Erik and Steele, modify musical boundaries with their eclectic repertoire, live jams, and creative twists on hits you love. The Pocket is a 75-person venue, nestled within the music hub, 7DrumCity (7DC). Despite its size, The Pocket quickly established a reputation for incredible acoustics, spectacular lighting, and memorable experiences in a warm, cozy environment. The venue actively seeks to provide a platform for musicians of all sizes and genres, acting as a stepping stone for up-and-coming local acts and a welcoming space for touring musicians to share their art.
