Joanna Rush has had a long career as a performer starting as a Rockette and On and Off Broadway. More recently she has opted to go it alone in several well received solo shows on a variety of hysterical topics. And now, Rush will take the stage again as she debuts her newest show entitled NO MALARKEY! directed by Tony nominee Lynne Taylor-Corbett.

What is NO MALARKEY! about?

Joanna Rush is Joe Biden’s karmic twin and proud of it. Their careers have been parallel — maybe with a few exceptions. Ex-Rockette, Joanna Rush still does huge fan kicks and Joe did recently fall off his bike, but what they share are tumultuous Catholic upbringings, near death experiences, astrological signs, and a “no malarky” approach to life and the Supreme Court.

About The Plum @ Traver Hollow Road

www.ThePlumTH2.com

The Plum @ TH2 is truly a gem in the Catskills. Located just beyond the Ashokan Reservoir, any route you take to The Plum is bound to be beautiful. The space is a wonderfully reimagined garage that has been converted into a space for performance and gathering. There's enough room to host a crowd, but not so large as to lose its intimate atmosphere.

Salon culture has historically pushed artistic boundaries and fostered the exchange of ideas around pressing social, scientific, and political issues.

Salons are for the free exchange of stories, cogitations, and inspiration, often combined with music, art, readings from literature, or poetry. The Events & Salon Series offered at The Plum follow in this tradition.
