Join us for an immersive, in-person, multi-day workshop on playful pedagogy. Learn how to go beyond icebreakers and board games to implement creative approaches to real-world classroom struggles. Experiment with playful strategies that inspire creativity and wonder in your students while facilitating learning.

How do you want to get there?
Agenda
Day 1
We'll get to know each other first, and then explore the major researchers who have shaped our knowledge of play in education. We'll identify our own playful personalities and play histories. We'll learn about "Soft Starts" and "Sparks" to enhance student engagement.
Day 2
On Day 2, we'll "unwrap" the science of play and develop an understanding of how playful approaches can help educators take risks with students and provide effective feedback. We'll apply this knowledge to your own unique problem of practice.
Day 3
For our final day together, we'll share our playful solutions to the problem of practice and get some helpful group feedback. We'll say goodbye while taking time to reflect on our new tools to promote joy and well-being in the college classroom. Optional: Join us for an afternoon of fun at the Strong Museum of Play at the close of the workshop!
