This in-person event features workshops, guided plant walks, and discussions led by experienced herbalists and plant enthusiasts.

Immerse yourself in the healing power of plants and deepen your connection to the natural world. Whether you're a seasoned herbalist or just starting your journey, this conference offers something for everyone.

The speakers include renowned herbalists such as Pam Montgomery, 7Song, Charis Lindrooth, and Taylor Rae, astrologers and diviners Mychal A. Bryan, JoAnna Farrer and Isaac Hill, folk magic practitioners Rebecca Beyer and Lisa Fazio, mycologists Olga Tzogas and Michael Wilson, gong specialist/sound healer Mike Tamburo and many more.

There will be movement classes, a plant/fungi walk option for each, music in the evening, and good quality company the whole weekend. Alexandra Wendt is leading us through a somatic dance on Friday evening. We’ll have yoga and breathwork with Meghan Kirkpatrick and qi gong with Brian Wilkins.

What does "cunning" mean?

Cunning: The word “cunning” refers to knowing how to do something, especially something uncanny- something that others don’t know how to do, such as healing with plants and working with spirits. Plant Cunning: Being “plant cunning” is being wise to the ways of plants, materially and spiritually

Will there be food?

We provide a meal plan that you can purchase of nourishing food that can accommodate dietary preferences and will include vegan options, vegetarian options and meat options for $75 in addition to the ticket. You’re encourage you to bring your own snacks. There's no food trucks on site.

What should I bring?

layers of clothing to wear if hot or raining or cold including a rain jacket, thick jacket or umbrella, bathing suit, towel, walking shoes or boots, hat, journal or notebook, pens, refillable water bottle, mug, snacks & cooler if needed, extra blanket, cash for vendors, an alter item

How to get there & where to park?

Type Cohosh Creek Herb Farm into your GPS. Look for event signs on Route 8 to turn onto County Rd 41. There's a big field just before the big red barn that you can park in, you'll see the cars. Avoid parking on the road please. Address: 415 County Rd 41 South Edmeston, NY

What is the site like?

The conference takes place at the hosts' beautiful herb farm in their big barn and event tents. Parking, camping, porta-potties, outdoor shower, kids camp, the barn and tents are all within about a quarter of an acre of flat land. Plant walks and some more tent camping venture a bit further.

Rain or Shine?

Yes, and we're going for "Shine" so let's all just imagine clear skies and lovely temps. ? The tendency is that it's colder here than most places within the few hour radius so please be sure to pack cozy sweaters, hats, thick pants, scarves, extra blankets and good boots just in case the nights

Can I bring my well-behaved dog?

Plz leave your dog with another care taker. We have chickens, kids, other dogs & a busy country road making it not the easiest environment for having your dog. Absolutely no aggressive dogs are allowed. We are making acceptations for folks who need to bring their dog. Service dogs welcome-of course

I have a bee allergy, are there bees around?

Yes we have honey bees in hives on the land. There are many pollinators here at the herb farm. If you have an allergy please bring your medication.

If I can't make it will you refund my ticket?

If you need to change plans for any reason prior to June 25, 2024, your registration fee minus a $50 administration fee is refundable. Refund requests must be in writing and received by this date. Email your refund or transfer request to info@plantcunning.com.

Is there cell phone service or WiFi?

Most cell phone providers get service on the land, though it can be patchy in some places. We have WiFi in our house that you can access on or near the front porch. There is no WiFi on the land or in the big barn.
