One of few capable of taking audiences on a sonic journey through Hip Hop, House, Soul, Afro-Beat, Funk, Breaks & Dance Classics. DJ Rock Bottom has opened for the likes of Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah, Bilal, Floetry, Jay Electronica, Lupe Fiasco, Faith Evans, Ledisi, Kamasi Washigton, Dead Prez, Mos Def, Robert Glasper, Allen Stone, Curren$y, Wright, Dru Hill, George Tandy Jr., Foreign Exchange, Haitus Kayote, Anthony David & Martin Luther. Be on the lookout as DJ Rock Bottom continues to build a platform for expression on his own terms, in his own way. A unique selection & eclectic musical taste. The motto is “Real Music for Real People.”
THE BRICKHOUSE GALLERY & ARTS COMPLEX is the former site of the Sorarrco Sheet Metal Works Company, built in 1924. Since 1993, it has provided a venue for local artists and community events. In addition to the Brickhouse Art Gallery, it also has 9 rental artist’s studios, which provides sacred space for Artist to create.
We have an off-the-grid approach to the arts. The streamlined and uncluttered venue has a rustic charm that will focus on the work of established and promising new artists in Northern California. The Brickhouse Gallery and Studio Complex is an eclectic art center located in the heart of Historic Oak Park.
THE MISSION OF THE BRICKHOUS IS THREE FOLD: To bring art & art education into the community. To teach art in all its forms, visual, written and music. To encourage and inspire emerging artists, seasoned artists and those seeking to find their voice through art. It is our goal to create a community atmosphere which encourages participation, exhibitions, workshops, classes, and demonstrations. We remain open to redefining ART as it is ever evolving.
