The Pacifica Experience takes place on Saturday, August 19th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The day allows one to fully explore Pacifica’s nine graduate degree programs. If you have any questions about this Admissions-related event, please call 805.879.7305.
We also invite you to stay the weekend and join local Pacifica community members for additional complimentary activities. All events will take place at the Lambert Road Campus. Please indicate on the main registration page which events you plan to attend.
The Pacifica Experience, Saturday August 19th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Pacifica Experience: A One-Day Introduction to Pacifica's Degree Programs has been designed to give prospective graduate students a comprehensive introduction and orientation to the distinctive educational features of the school. Pacifica is currently accepting applications for fall 2017 enrollment in all programs.
For the Saturday, August 19th Pacifica Experience you have the opportunity to:

<LI>Experience Pacifica's unique interdisciplinary graduate degree programs through faculty-led, program-specific information meetings and presentations</LI>
<LI>Hear renowned analyst Pat Berry speak on the topic of Archetypal Psychology</LI>
<LI>Listen to Pacifica President Joseph Cambray discuss the archetypal aspects of career and personal individuation</LI>
<LI>Experience Pacifica’s creation story from Founding President and Chancellor Dr. Steve Aizenstat</LI>
<LI>Discover depth psychological perspectives in a simulated classroom</LI>
<LI>Tour OPUS Archives and Research Center, which houses the Joseph Campbell, James Hillman, and Marion Woodman library and archives </LI>
<LI>Explore classrooms, learning facilities, and housing</LI>
<LI>Receive assistance towards completion of your application and learn about current &amp; upcoming scholarship opportunities</LI>
<LI>Talk with Financial Aid, the Business Office, and staff offering student services (writing tutoring, library resources, special needs)</LI>
<LI>A $35 registration fee includes all of Saturday’s morning and afternoon activities, lunch, and a Pacifica Bookstore $10 Gift Certificate. Pacifica’s $75 application fee will be waived for attendees.</LI>

Friday Evening Salon: August 18th from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Psychology on the Edge: Conversations on Suppression, Resistance and Transformations in the Field, a panel discussion with Clinical Psychology faculty members Oksana Yakushko, Michael Sipiora, and special guest Dr. Philip Cushman.
August 19th - The Pacifica Experience - 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Saturday Evening Pacifica Complimentary Community BBQ Dinner: August 19th - 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM
This event is open and complimentary for all Pacifica students, alumni, and community members. We will feature local food from the Santa Barbara area, including Pacifica’s own organic garden.
Sunday Morning Re-Imagining Careers Panel: August 20th - 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Re-Imagining Careers, a panel featuring Pacifica alumni, centered on the development of careers, with specific focus dedicated to the individuation process and imagination during their coursework, thesis, and dissertation writing.
Speakers for the Re-Imagining Careers Sunday Panel include:
Craig Chalquist, Ph.D.
Craig Chalquist - Craig earned a Ph.D. from the Depth Psychology program and has been department chair of the East-West Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies and a former core faculty member in the Department of Consciousness &amp; Transformative Studies at John F. Kennedy University. He currently is the Associate Provost at Pacifica.

Gioia, Jacobsen, M.A.
Gioia earned a M.A. from the Counseling Psychology program and is a Licensed Mariage and Family Therapist in California. She currently is the Clinical Training Associate for the Masters in Counseling Psychology program at Pacifica.

William Jones, Ph.D.
William earned a Ph.D. from the Clinical Psychology program and is a Registered Psychological Assistant in California, and currently is at La Vie Counseling Center in the Los Angeles area. He was also a Postdoctoral Fellow at Occidental College.

William Linn, Ph.D.
William earned a Ph.D. from the Mythological Studies program and is Director of General Education at the Relativity School in Los Angeles, CA. He has also co-hosted a radio show that he created for the Santa Barbara News Press and Joseph Campbell Foundation Mythological Round Tables called Mythosophia.

Gabrielle Milanich, Ph.D.
Gabrielle earned a Ph.D. from the Depth Psychology program, and has been Project Coordinator and Volunteer Manager at the OPUS Archive and Research Center. She is Co-Chair of the Ecopsychology Network of Southern California, and is also a Certified Ecotherapist.

Lizzie Rodriguez, M.A.
Lizzie is a fifth-year student completing her Ph.D. from the Community Psychology, Liberation Psychology, and Ecopsyhology Specialization. She is the Chief Collaborative Coordinator of the Restorative Community Network, working closely with law enforcement, probation, community service providers, and the community at large. Lizzie was recently appointed to the Tenant Protection Task Force for the City of Santa Barbara.

LOCATION: The Lambert Road Campus, 249 Lambert Road, Carpinteria, CA 93013 is on the site of a former private estate that was built in 1924. Special efforts have been taken to enhance and maintain the campus in a manner appropriate to the history of the property and its geographic location. In addition to classrooms and lecture halls, the 13-acre Lambert Road campus houses faculty and administrative offices, the Graduate Research Library, The Joseph Campbell &amp; Marija Gimbutas Special Collections Library, extensive organic gardens, and labyrinth.
GUESTS: Attendees may purchase extra tickets for their guests on the main order form.
MEALS: Lunch on the day of the Introduction is provided to encourage ongoing dialogue and community exchange throughout the day. Pacifica's caterers provide healthy meals for our attendees and their guests. Continental breakfast will also be available to attendees and their guests on the day of The Pacifica Experience. There will also be the Saturday evening BBQ from 5:30 to 8:00 PM. No other meal services are available.
ACCOMMODATIONS: Attendees and their guests wishing to stay overnight at the Ladera Lane Campus on Friday, August 18th or Saturday, August 19th can purchase accommodations at the bottom of the order form. The standard room rate is $110.88 per night. Accommodations are simple, dormitory-style rooms with a shared bath and shower. Bed linens and towels are provided. TRAVEL: Major airlines provide service into the Los Angeles International Airport located 90 miles south of Santa Barbara and into the Santa Barbara Municipal Airport, approximately 18 miles north of the Campus. Pacifica does not offer transportation services to or from the airport.
