Celebrating Owl Eyes Wilderness Survival's 10th anniversary!
The Outdoor Wilderness Living Challenge, also known as the OWL Challenge, is only open to OEWS students who have become Alula Certified by attending Wilderness Survival 1-4 and The SOS Challenge. Students will only need the clothes on their backs for this class! This class is the most difficult class offered by OEWS and will require peak physical and mental stamina throughout the experience.
You will be given your survival kit at the beginning of class and you will need to survive off the land for 3 days and 2 nights. This survival kit could be little more than a stone knife and a trash bag! Please note that all food, water, and survival supplies will be foraged and wildcrafted from the landscape during your experience. This may mean that you will not be eating for the duration of the class. Plan accordingly beforehand by hydrating and getting a lot of nutrients.

This class does not have a set curriculum of set skills or topics as the class will work as a team on gathering and disinfecting water, foraging for plants, fishing, hunting, and crafting their shelters. Various topics will be taught depending on group ability and interest.
Required Gear:
- Comfortably Warm and Dry Clothing to Camp for the Weekend
- Personal First Aid Kit and Prescriptions
- Valid Vermont Fishing and Hunting License
This is an adult class, any student under the age of 18 must be Alula Certified and be approved by the instructor. Any student under the age of 18 must attend with a parent or guardian.
The ticket price covers the cost for 1 student, regardless of age.
