Published in 24 countries, his books have helped launch an international movement to connect families and communities to nature.

With outdoor education being a pillar of our pedagogy, The Orchard School is thrilled to welcome Louv to The Toby at Newfields to deliver a FREE keynote message that not only aligns with our mission, but also might provide a nature spark for parents and educators across the city.

Louv has presented Keynote addresses at the American Academy of Pediatrics National Conference (2000 and 2020); the USC Institute for Integrative Health Conference; the first White House Summit on Environmental Education; the Congress of the New Urbanism; the International Healthy Parks Conference in Melbourne, Australia; EuroParcs Conference in Scotland; the national Friends of Nature Conference in Beijing, China; and on September 17th – the Symposium for Progressive Teaching and Learning Hosted by The Orchard School.

Doors open at 6pm. Richard Louv will begin his presentation promptly at 7pm. Following his presentation, we will have a live Q & A.

Please feel free to come early and explore Newfields' grounds or stop by Kids Ink's merchandise table to grab one of Richard Louv's bestsellers. Each book will have an autographed bookplate by Louv himself and will help benefit The Orchard School in our mission to develop and educate the whole child.
