One Dame Funny Valentine Game Show
A tribute to Dame Edna by her Honorary Understudy
Written & Performed by Scott F. Mason

Celebrate Valentine’s with a twist of fun! Dame Edna’s multi-award-winning Honorary
Understudy is back with her tribute to the legend. In the first act, get ready for another belly-
busting good time with her crazy zingers, double-entendre one-liners, and mischievous
observations of the Havre De Grace Opera House crowd. The second act is a gameshow (like
“The Newlyweds”) where couples of any kind can join the witty host on stage for the chance to
win some prizes!

“Mason quite simply nailed it…every inch the wit and outrageous humor of the original Dame”-
Gerry Geddes, Bistro Awards

Mason’s Dame Edna impersonation has recently been brought to New York’s Cabaret scene
where he won the distinguished 2023 Bistro Award for Comedic Characterization. He was
nominated for both a 2023 and 2024 Manhattan Association Award for his work. In 2010 and
2012, he won “Best Comedian” at the Las Vegas Reel Awards and is in the Sunburst Convention
of Professional Celebrity Impersonators Hall of Fame for “Funniest Male.” He is also featured
prominently in the award-winning 2010 documentary short subject “Just About Famous” and its
full-length follow-up in 2013. Mason has been active in theater since 1985, having written over
30 plays produced in Delaware and Off-Off Broadway. As an actor, he has acted over 100 roles,
and appeared for 38 years with the Delaware Dance Company’s “The Nutcracker”. He has also
directed over 100 plays for community and regional theater.
