The play talks about aging, dementia/Alzheimers, love, death, life, dignity and how to play with all of it in a ridiculous absurd way. Above all, the play is about being human, being alive, developing together.
A few years ago, I started collaborating with an amazing Director, Madelyn Chapman. And today, she is back to orchestrate and direct the live reading of the play. Together we put together a fantastic cast and I am so honored to invite you to the World Live Premiere reading of The Old, a personal and absurd play about life and death in a nursing home.
Please join us on Sunday June 30th 2024 at 5.30pm EDT.

A few words from the author
12 years ago, I was pregnant with my daughter and at the same time, my beloved grandfather Rene was dying, my less beloved grandmother, Jacqueline was entering dementia and my other grandmother, Minou, was entering boredom. And I got the urge to write a play, The Old. If all inspired by the names of my grandparents, the Old is a fictional play, in the tradition of The Theater of the Absurd. Nothing makes sense and yet it is not so far from our reality.
After Covid and old people dying alone in nursing homes, The Old took another meaning and I decided to give life to it.
