About this event

  • 6 hours

It's the Crosstown Trail's 5th Anniversary! Celebrate by getting out on the trails this June.

Gather at Glen Park BART Plaza for a 10-mile walk showcasing the Crosstown Trail’s 5th Anniversary route changes. It will begin with a loop that includes the Cuvier Commons mural, the Bernal Cut, the Arlington Path, and the Arlington Triangle. It will end with another loop along Presidio’s Mountain Lake Trail, past the Marine Cemetery, and back to Geary and Park Presidio where you’ll be able to hop aboard the 38 Geary. Somewhere along the trail, a spot will be found to enjoy the bag lunch you’ve brought from home.

Suggested donation $10.

Space is limited. These events typically fill up with a waitlist. If you register for a ticket and can no longer make it, please cancel your ticket to make space for another participant.

Note: We had planned to have the New and Improved Crosstown Trail walk be transit-friendly, but it turns out the Glen Park BART station will be closed June 1-2. (BART will be running bus shuttles; check their website for details.) To reach our meeting spot at Glen Park BART (at the corner of Bosworth & Diamond), you can take the 14 or 49 MUNI, exit at the Murray/Bosworth stop, and walk 10 minutes west on Bosworth. Other MUNI lines connecting to our start location are the 44, 52, 23, 36, 35 and 714 buses, as well as the J-Church streetcar.
