Inspired by the adventures of Peter Pan, Wendy, Tinker Bell, and Captain Hook, the Wilmington Dance Theatre presents The Neverland Tea Fundraiser on May 18th in Downtown Wilmington. Drawing on popular motifs from the much loved novel, the afternoon tea will be a fitting tribute to the beloved fictional characters of Neverland.

In true British fashion, guests will enjoy a delicious array of teas presented by the Tea Lady Ms Diane, plus a sweet and savory selection of magical finger foods with a creative twist, such as pixie dust biscuits, lost boy sandwiches, tick-tock tarts, and fresh scones! Be entertained by the dancers of Wilmington Dance Theatre as they present an abbreviated performance of “Peter Pan” before its debut on the Wilson Center Stage. Tea party guests will also have the opportunity to take photos with the Neverland characters during a meet and greet! Specialized raffles from donors and local businesses will also be available.

But you never exactly knew whether there would be a real meal or just a make believe, it all depended upon Peter's whim.” - from Peter Pan and Wendy from JM Barrie

All proceeds from the tea will fund the 501-c3 non profit Wilmington Dance Theater. Seats are $40. Everyone aged 3 years+ (or anyone in a seat) must have a ticket for entry.

Frequently asked questions

Where do I park?

St James has street parking nearby, or we reccomend parking at the 115 Market St Garage parking deck and walking across the street.

I am at St James Church, but now where do I go?

The Neverland Tea is located in the Perry Hall of St James Church. The double doors are located off Dock Street.

Can I sit with my party?

We will not split up a party of tickets that are bought together. However, we will do our very best to accommodate additional seating requests.

What is the recommended age for the Neverland Tea?

We recommend ages 3+. This is a great option for little ones who might not sit through an entire performance. It's also a perfect mothers day gift, daddy daughter date, grandparent outing, or an event for the whole family!
