This spring, PAUSE is taking a moment to explore (and reject!) the myth of grief having a specific timeline that we all have to follow.
We want to create a space of ritual, reflection, and resourcing - to honor and reflect on the 5-year anniversary of so many COVID-19-related deaths; almost 6 months from the LA fires; and whatever event in your life you’ve been grieving.
In partnership with guest speakers, we’ll explore the questions:
- Why is it so important for folks to be met with no expectations around when they’ll “finish” grieving? How might it make them feel better, feel less judged, and feel more hopeful?
- What types of resources are out there that honor our relationships to our grief - in all of its complexity and fluidity?
- In what ways have folks supported YOU that made you feel affirmed and validated in the ways we processed our grief? And how can you invite more of that into your life?
Please join us if:
- You’re grieving and looking for community to listen to, connect with, see your experience reflected in, and learn from.
- You’ve felt pressure to “be done grieving” “stop grieving” or “have moved on already”.
- You’re interested in learning more about resources that honor the fact that we all grieve at our own pace.
Throughout the webinar we’ll engage in the following:
- Ritual: We’ll lead and participate in various rituals/activities honoring time that’s passed.
- Reflection: We’ll be in conversation as a group about grief, time, and care - how community can better hold those of us who have experienced grief and death.
- Resourcing: PAUSE will provide folks with a comprehensive list of resources - things to read, watch, listen to, and engage with all about grief, death, and dying.
Closed Captions are available for this Zoom webinar to help you follow along if necessary.
