VETS and ROTC programs, in partnership with Online, Distance and Continuing Education at the University of Arizona is proud to announce we will once again host The Murph Challenge.
What is The Murph Challenge?
A Workout. A Tradition. A Fundraiser.
The Murph Challenge is a Hero WOD (workout of the day), honoring Navy Lieutenant Michael P Murphy who was killed in Afghanistan in 2005. The Murph Challenge is more than a workout, it's a way to honor and remember LT. Murphy for the courage and bravery he demonstrated as well as the sacrifice he made to save his brothers. Over the years, it has become a tradition, a way to honor the countless men and women of our armed forces who lost their lives while serving our country.
The Murph Challenge is also an annual fundraiser for the LT. Michael P. Murphy Scholarship Foundation, presented by Forged. This Memorial Day tradition will take place on Saturday, May 27, 2023.
While you do not need to register for the official event to participate in the workout, we encourage you to do so. Registering for the official challenge helps raise funds for veteran and military connected education opportunities, a cause we strongly support. Plus, when you register through Forged, you will receive a tee to commemorate your 2023 "Murph."
Register here.
Register through Eventbrite to reserve your space at the University of Arizona, South Hall.
