Muppets themed swing dance with LIVE music .Come jam with Swing Kids for our Spring Quarter Dance! Don your muppetest attire on May 29th in the HUB Lyceum for a night of live jazz, dancing, and a Muppets themed costume contest. Doors will open at 6:00 pm, with a free beginner lesson at 6:15. Tickets are free for registered swing kids, $5 for UW students, and $10 for community members.T ickets are free for Swing Kids membersTicket purchases available at doors Swing Kids at UW are a group of college students dedicated to learning Lindy Hop swing. Lindy Hop is a partner dance developed in the 20's and 30's in Harlem, NY. Born from African rhythms and European structured dance, the style consists of 6 and 8 count steps borrowing footwork from Charleston and Tap.
