If you are a K-12 public school teacher, join us on site at the Morgan Library & Museum for a day of live guided tours that will introduce you to the Morgan’s unique school programs that you can share with your students. The day will consist of guided tours led by our museum educators, during which you will see J.Pierpont Morgan's Historic Library and our temporaryexhibitions Beatrix Potter: Drawn to Nature and Walton Ford: Birds and Beasts of the Studio. You'll also participate in a hands-on workshop where you will explore traditional art materials and techniques used to create illuminated manuscripts.and you'll even get to grind pigments and make paint!

For teachers in New York, the Morgan Library & Museum is an accredited sponsor for CTLE requirements. Teachers may credit these courses towards the New York State (NYS) 100 hours of Continuing Teacher and Leader Education (CTLE) requirement. This event is worth five CTLE credits. You must be present during all sessions in order to earn CTLE credits. Certificates will be given at the end of the event.
If you register but then find that you will be unable to attend the event, please be sure to cancel, as space is very limited, and there may be people on the waitlist who would like your spot.
In order to include a wide array of schools, we ask that only two teachers per school register for teacher events. Please note that preference for registering for this event is given to those who have not previously attended a teacher PD in the past. Repeat registrants may be asked to defer for newcomers.
