The Midwest Anxiety Behavior Modification Plan

Midwest Anxiety is a community based treatment program for anxiety disorders and more generalized problems involving excessive worry, anxiety, and stress reactions. We employ an interactive, action-oriented Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) approach, integrating features of behavioral modification into cognitive restructuring. We believe that people are not defined by their weaknesses, but by their strengths.  Life stressors are managed when these strengths are tapped and skills are developed to improve weaknesses.  We inspire a purpose driven and meaningful life by focusing on what you can become rather than what you can’t become.

If you're struggling to get your child to go to bed on time, respond to your requests, stop fighting with their sibling, clean their room, do their homework, you definately need to join us and learn about the behavior modification plan we created for all our Individual Therapy families. This behavior modificaiton plan will allow you to emotionally take a step back and allow your child to take more responsibility for their choices.  The Midwest Anxiety Behavior Modification Plan will give you the opportunity to love your child more than yell at them.

Parents of children who have difficulty self regulating during "meltdowns" and responding when you "ask the first time."
INSTRUCTOR
Randy Floyd, LSCSW

LOCATION
We know family life can be very, very, busy.  So....we've made it easy for you to join this class.  This class is held Live Online. No need to get a baby sitter! You'll join from the convenience of your computer. When you join online, you'll see the Instructor and his/her screen.  You'll not be seen or heard, but will be able to engage in conversation and ask questions through the chat platform.  So....put your comfortable clothes on, sit back, and enjoy.  
CLASS BENEFITS
Convenience. We know life can be busy and you may need to squeeze learning CBT skills in with doing laundry, watching your child at soccer practice, making dinner, and everything else in your over scheduled life. You can take many of our classes LIVE online (like a webinar) anywhere life takes you.
Access to the Class Web Page. Each class has a dedicated web page you have unlimited access during and after the class. The class web page is where you’ll find the class notes and audio/video recording of the class. So, if you missed the LIVE portion of the class, just head to the class web page for everything you missed.
Interactive. While the class won’t meet in person, you still get the interactive experience of an in person class during the LIVE portion of the class. Each class has a text based chat room for all your questions and discussions.
Get To Wear Your Comfy Clothes. Since you won't be seen or heard during the class, you can wear your pajamas, comfy clothes, and even pick your nose (we don’t suggest, but hey you do you ;) while participating in the class.
Participate Anywhere in the World. Since our classes are online, you can participate if you live in Minnesota, New York, on the beach, in the mountains, or anywhere else in the world.
Learn the Basic CBT Skills Taught in Individual Therapy. This is HUGE as you can still learn the skills we teach in Individual Therapy if you don’t live in Johnson County, Kansas or Individual Therapy is not a good fit for you.
One Fee Pays For Everyone. As many people as you can get huddled around your phone, computer, or projector are the amount of people who can participate in the class with you. We don’t charge for each person who participates. One fee pays for everyone ;)
