One of the richest legacies in our Islamic archive, the legacy of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) clarifies the unwavering disposition of a Believer, to submit to the will of Allah (SWT) obediently. From the conflict of monotheism with his father to the heart-wrenching decision to abandon his wife and son in the desert, the trials given to the family of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) elucidate why Allah (SWT) declared Prophet Ibrahim (AS) to be His friend.

Join us in Seattle for our new Miftaah Circle, The Legacy of Ibrahim (AS), where we will discuss the members of a family engraved within the footprints of Islam and honored in the Book of Allah (SWT).

In 2017, Miftaah Institute was established to empower and educate Islamic values within the lens of the Prophetic teachings of unity and mercy. We strive to make our programs accessible and approachable for college students and professionals that aspire to enhance their knowledge and spirituality. Miftaah is based out of Warren, Michigan and offers a rich transformational journey of learning Classical Arabic, Quranic literature, and Prophetic tradition in an inclusive environment.

The Prophet Muhammed ﷺ stated: "Glad tidings to that individual who becomes a miftaah (key) towards good and a lock towards evil." (Sunan Ibn Majah)

Miftaah Institute aims to be an educational platform where people have the opportunity to develop themselves as keys for the spreading of divine knowledge. Here they can learn or teach this knowledge, how to act upon it, and emerge as inspirational leaders. Hence, at Miftaah Institute we undertake this philosophy on education:

1) Educate: Pursue knowledge

2) Preserve: Protect knowledge by practicing upon it

3) Application: Educate and empower others

Miftaah Institute offers a rich exploration of Arabic literacy. Many students have a zeal to pursue sacred knowledge, however, their responsibilities and obligations may hinder them in this goal. We at Miftaah recognize this dilemma, that’s why we have provided a diverse set of educational programs tailored for those with other obligations and hectic schedules. Whether it be online coursework, part-time studies on campus, or intensive courses in the summer or winter, we hope to provide options for everyone.
