"The Last Mapmaker" Book Club, ages 9+

Children ages 9+ are invited to a book club! We’ll be discussing the book The Last Mapmaker, a fantasy adventure novel by Christina Soontornvat and completing a series of fun activities based on the novel. Participants are expected to read the book before we meet. Registration is appreciated.

About the book: Twelve-year-old Sodsai Mudawan lives in the Fens, the poorest part of her Mangkon, which usually means a life of hard labor or crime. Sai uses her smarts and social skills to secure an apprenticeship with Paiyoon, the Navy’s Master Mapmaker. When the opportunity to board a royal ship to parts unknown arises, Sai sees an opportunity to chart a new path.
