Drawing on a rich cultural palette, the Kruger Brothers exemplify the best of what music can be: exciting, intelligent and beautiful. In an ever expanding body of work, Jens Kruger (banjo, vocals), Uwe Kruger (guitar, lead vocals) and Joel Landsberg (bass, vocals) personify the American musical tradition, despite being from Switzerland. Now living in North Carolina, brothers Jens and Uwe were first drawn to American folk music after discovering Doc Watson, Earl Scruggs, Bill Monroe, and Lester Flatt. Over the course of twenty-five years, the Kruger Brothers have become a fixture of the USA folk world, gaining the attention of the musicians that once served as role models to them. None other than Doc Watson himself said, “The Kruger Brothers are just about as fine a band as I’ve ever played with.”
