The Junior League of Portland's 2024 Rose City Women's Summit

Start your day with inspiring speakers and networking opportunities that will help build your skill set in equity and belonging while connecting you with other women making a difference across Portland.

We are honored to have two powerhouse leaders join us on stage:

Shari Dunn will deliver our Keynote address, Unmasking Imposter Syndrome. This session aims to delve deep into how imposter syndrome impacts women's self-perception and misdirects efforts toward individual adjustments rather than addressing systemic issues in the workplace. These insights are drawn from her book under contract with Harper Business, expected in 2025.

Libra Forde will share reflections and help crystalize leadership learning moments from her vantage point as the Executive Director for the Women's Foundation of Oregon, a philanthopist non-profit organization that focuses on the dismantlement of systems that impede gender justice. Libra is a former athlete and business owner and has led innovative education reform in Hawaii and Oregon. Libra is a fighter with a justice heart and systems mind ready to get the work done so we can have a place we can all be proud of beyond our existence.

Rose City Women's Summit is so lucky to have both these incredible women sharing their wealth of experience and knowledge. Summit attendees will leave with new levels of understanding they can put to practice as a leader in our community.

About the Rose City Women's Summit

The first Rose City Women's Summit was hosted in 2017 and over the years has evolved through virtual and hybrid iterations. This year we are trying out a breakfast format with two speakers, networking and community (no breakout sessions). Past events have attracted as many as 275 individuals and speakers have included Her First 100K's Tori Dunlap and Tarana Burke, one of the founders of the #MeToo movement.

This event is open to the entire Portland community, and is perfect for anyone looking to grow their leadership skills and make a difference. Don't miss out on this chance to connect with leaders from across the business and nonprofit sectors, and cultivate your passion for service. See you there!

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to be a Junior League member to attend?

No! This event is put on by the Junior League to benefit the entire community. We hope that the impact of the morning goes beyond our membership.

What's for breakfast? I have dietary needs.

We know standard plated breakfast doesn't work for everyone, so we have chosen a buffet service with meat-free, dairy-free, and gluten-free options. We hope there is something that fits your needs. And don't worry, there will obviously be coffee.

What transportation options are available?

Urban Studio is just a block from the Street Car, 5 blocks from the MAX, and is served by bus lines 77 and 20. Parking is available on the street, and several parking garages are options within 3 blocks. The event does not include any reserved or pre-paid parking.

What is the difference between ticket levels?

Everyone in attendance will enjoy breakfast and the program. VIP ticket holders will have some of the best seats, access to an additional meet and greet opportunity with guest speakers, and special treats. Tables of 8 are sold at the VIP level, email summit@jlpdx.org for table assistance.
