The John Jorgenson Bluegrass Band truly is a supergroup.

They will play in the backyard tent on Sunday, July 21. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and music starts at 7:30 p.m.

VIP tickets are $34. General admission is $25. VIP ticket holders get in first and can choose their seats.

Jorgenson and fellow member Herb Pedersen are founders with Chris Hillman (The Byrds) of the trailblazing country rock group, Desert Rose. Mark Fain played bass for Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder. Patrick Sauber has toured with Peter Rowan and Laurie Lewis.

Jorgenson toured as the guitarist in Elton John's band and has recorded with Bonnie Raitt, Bob Dylan, Earl Scruggs, Emmylou Harris, John Prine, and numerous others.

The Desert Rose Band was nominated for two Grammy Awards, for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal: the debut album The Desert Rose Band (1987), and the single "She Don't Love Nobody" (1989).

The band was a three-time winner of the Band of the Year/Touring Award presented by the Academy of Country Music Association, in 1988, 1989, and 1990.
