Mind Your Mind - Mental Health

Mental health is one of the Cobb Collaborative’s main strategic initiatives to improve outcomes for all people and families in our community. Mind Your Mind exists to raise awareness, promote resiliency and reduce stigma around mental health.

When there is an intersection between people with disabilities and mental health conditions, there are added layers of complexities and challenges for the individual and their caregivers. However, positive outcomes ARE possible. We can start with understanding the issue and exploring resources.Join us on Friday, September 9, for The Intersection, presented by <a href="https://www.cobbcollaborative.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Cobb Collaborative</a> and <a href="https://tommynobiscenter.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Tommy Nobis Center</a>. This town hall style meeting will feature a welcome from<a href="https://dbhdd.georgia.gov/judy-fitzgerald" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"> </a>policy makers, as well as remarks from experts in mental health and disability advocacy. Additionally, there will be a panel discussion with a Q&amp;A time for audience participants.Coffee, tea and light refreshments from <a href="https://rise-coffeetea.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">RISE Coffee &amp; Tea</a> will be served and networking with fellow attendees and exhibitors will begin at 8:30AM; the program will start at 9:15AM. We will adjourn at 12:00PM.THANKS to the <a href="https://www.eastcobbcivitan.org/home" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">East Cobb Civitan Club</a> for their sponsorship of this event. Please note that deadline for registration is 11:59PM on Tuesday, September 6.
