We are super excited to announce that this spring, for the first time eeeeeeeever, The Hungry Post is going INTERNATIONAL! Get those beach bags ready because don't think we were leaving you behind.
If you're in Miami or NYC, well then, ooobvio you're coming with us to Cartagena and joining your fellow Colombian Hungries, of course!
If you live in Colombia and ended up on our page, pues entonces bienvenidos to The Hungry Post. Here are a few things you should know about us. We're all about buena comida, buenos cocteles y buena compañía! We recommend restaurants in Miami and New York City and bring them together through digital content and events. We host sunset parties, dinners, brunches, cocktail-making classes, and more for our local Latin community with the mission of discovering each city through a culinary lens. Wherever we go, siempre llevamos un pedacito de Miami con nosotros.

So go ahead, save the date, and book your plane tickets from (donde quiera que estés) Miami, NYC, Bogotá, Medellín to Cartagena for our Sunset Party pop-up happening on Saturday, May 4th. Join us as we take over Casa Palmera located inside La Ciudad Amurallada.
As for la musiquita, we’re flying in our favorite Miami DJs, Andre Ferro and Juan Diego Viteri. We'll also have un poco de talento local with Ivan Montes and Nicolas Nohra. You can be sure they will set the mood and have you dancing hasta tarde!

- Mila Pastelería: All-day spot offering pastries and breakfast with options like French toast, huevos rotos, desayuno Costeño, croissants, churros, and more.
- Época: All-day café bar serving areiptas de queso fundido, avocado toast, arepa e' huevo, huevos divorciados, waffles, specialty coffee, classic cocktails, and more.
- AMASA: Minimalistic cafe with a wide selection of dishes such as mini pancakes, churro french toast, salads, bowls, sandwiches, pastries, and more.
FOR LUNCH:
- Juan del Mar: This laid-back spot is one of Cartagena's most iconic restaurants. It has buen ambiente with musiquita en vivo all day long. Don't skip their specialty pizzas with extra thin crust, Burrata Encrostada, Tiradito de Atún, and Octopus Carpaccio.
- Restaurante Candé: Expect live music with a menu that features traditional Cartagena dishes (mostly seafood) such as the Ceviche en Coco, Muelitas de Jaiba, Langosta Isleña, Arroz Anfitrión, and Posta Cartagenera.

- Mistura: Casual spot with a global cuisine. You can expect dishes ranging from tacos, bao buns, sushi, and ceviches to crispy prawns, fish risotto, and Lomo Saltado. The Piqueo de la Casa comes with a little bit of everything to share.
- Carmen: Originally from Medellín, Carmen is located in a colonial house in the historic center of Cartagena. As for the food, it focuses on elevating traditional Colombian dishes. Menu highlights include El Ceviche, Empanada, Pez Palma with risotto de arroz con coco and palmitos frescos del Putumayo, Pulpo, and La Posta Cartagenera.
- Rabo de Pez: New addition to the Cartagena dining scene serving elevated dishes such as Pulpo al Carbón, Agnolotti de Langosta, and Arroz de Pato Ahumado.
- Harry's Bar: An institution. Make sure you get the Lobster Nachos and Octopus Chicharrón.
- Niku: Trendy Nikkei restaurant serving an extensive menu featuring ceviches, sashimis, nigiri, sushi rolls, steaks, and more.
- Benitto: Cozy Italian spot serving wood-fired pizzas, pasta, risotto, and more.
- Restaurante 1621: Voted one of the top 25 best restaurants in the world by Traveler’s Choice Best 2022 awards. This restaurant merges French cuisine with local ingredients to offer guests a tasting menu.
- Lobo de Mar: Contemporary Mediterranean cuisine focused on shared plates for the table. Don't skip their Goat Cheese Salad and Pulpo a la Parrilla, which are some of their most popular dishes.
- La Única: Authentic Mexican food and a great spot to enjoy steak in Cartagena like Picanha and Porter House Short. You can also order traditional Mexican dishes such as Tostadas de Atún, Alcachofas a las Brasas, Queso Fundido, Charcoal Bone Marrows.
- Restaurante Celele: Located in Getsemani, this Contemporary Colombian restaurant was voted No. 16 by The Worlds 50 Best Restaurants in 2023. Menu highlights include Burrata de Leche de Búfala de Planeta Rica, Cangreja del Arhipiélago de San Bernardo y Arepa Samaria, Celele de Cerdo.

- EL BARÓN Cafe & Cocktail Bar: This is a very small, intimate, and cozy bar with an avant-garde cocktail menu featuring classic and signature drinks. Make sure to order their Gin Basil Smash and Rosarito. "Everyone goes here."
- La Movida: Best known as a bar and nightclub. This chic spot is where you're going for buena musiquita. Make sure to order a Gin and Tonic.
- ALQUÍMICO: Ranked No.9 by The World's 50 Best Bars, ALQUÍMICO is located in a three-story colonial mansion. Each floor has its own Colombian identity showcased by different drinks and dishes.
