This Wildfire Preparedness Week, CWI is partnering with the California Council on Science and Technology to host an exclusive film screening and panel discussion of The Human Element at 1pm on Sunday, May 5th at The Sofia/B Street Theatre in Sacramento.

The film, created by world-renowned environmental photographer James Balog, captures the lives of everyday Americans on the front lines of climate change, challenging us to reevaluate our relationship with the natural world.

The subsequent panel discussion weaves together expertise from practitioners, academics, policymakers, and more for an engaging dialogue around the film and one of its core elements impacting the state of California: fire.
