The Debbie Allen Dance Academy is a non-profit organization offering comprehensive dance classes to students ages three and up in Los Angeles, CA.

The Hot Chocolate Nutcracker is Debbie Allen's adaptation of Tchaikovsky's classic ballet, The Nutcracker,  into a modern musical.

Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center

<p>Following the idea of the original Nutcrackter, with a few changes in name, it's Christmas Eve and the Johnson Family, friends, and neighbors are having a grand party. The Christmas gifts are shared and young Kara receives a Nutcracker filled with hot chocolate, her favorite drink. Kara falls asleep and the journey begins when the Nutcracker comes alive. We follow the Hot Chocolate Nutcracker who takes Kara on a magical journey to many lands of wonder; Candy Cane Land, Egypt, the Indian Rainforest/Bollywood, Jazzland and, Russia, and the land of the Kimono Dolls.</p>

<p>Please join us from 12:30 to 1:30 PM for Kara&#x27;s Tea! Enjoy a catered tea, storytelling with Debbie Allen, photos with cast members and more!</p>
