What: Far out dudes, hip chicks, flower children and funky fidos are invited to don their best 70s attire as they move and groove their way through a psychedelic 3.1 mile course around Park Circle. 
When: Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 8 a.m. 
Where: Park Circle, North Charleston 
Why: The 5K fun run and walk will celebrate <A HREF="https://www.dol.gov/odep/topics/ndeam/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">National Disabilities Awareness Month</A>. Proceeds will benefit <A HREF="http://so-sc.org/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Special Olympics South Carolina</A> in the Lowcountry and help send Goodwill’s Self-Advocacy Group to Washington D.C to meet with Congress about issues that people with disabilities face on a daily basis including transportation, housing and employment. 
How do I raise money? Be sure to set up your <A HREF="http://thehippiedash.everydayhero.com/us/get-started" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">fundraising page</A>! Every dollar raised is important to supporting people with disabilities in our community. Individuals and teams are encouraged to leverage their participation in the event to raise money by asking friends, family, neighbors and co-workers to pledge sponsorship dollars. Prizes will be awarded for most money raised by an individual and team. 
What should I wear? Head to your <A HREF="https://palmettogoodwill.org/shop/store-locations-hours/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">local Goodwill store</A> to put together your best 70s-inspired outfit and come out for a morning of Peace, Love and Goodwill! Prizes will be awarded for Best Dressed Dude, Dudette, Flower Child and Pooch.
Where's the party? An after party will be held at <A HREF="http://www.dighospitality.com/about_dig_park_circle" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">DIG in the Park</A>, where participants will enjoy food and drink specials in the company of fellow free-spirited friends.

FAQs
Where is the race course? 
The Hippie Dash will take runners through a 3.1 mile course around scenic Park Circle in beautiful North Charleston.

What time is the run/walk? 
Check-in, packet pick-up and day-of registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. with the race beginning at 8 a.m. 
When and where can I pick up my race packet? 
Beat the lines the morning of the race and pick up your packet at the Palmetto Goodwill headquarters on Friday, October 7 from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. The address is 2150 Eagle Drive, Building 100, North Charleston, 29406.  
What are my transport/parking options for getting to the event?
Parking will be available at North Charleston High School. There is also street parking on East Montague and in the surrounding area. Please only park in marked parking places. Do not park on grassy areas.

What is the refund policy?
