Frequently asked questions

Are children welcomed?

Yes, children are welcomed. All children, regardless of age, must have their own tickets for all performances if they will be sitting in a seat of their own at any point in time during the show.

What should I wear?

We encourage people to dress as if you were going to a symphony. There will be photographers on site to take pictures with the performers following the show. However, we encourage you to wear whatever makes you feel most comfortable.

What if I arrive late?

If you arrive late, there MAY be opportunities for late seating, during short pauses in between performances. Please note, late seating is at the discretion of house management and is not guaranteed past 6:15pm. Please see the response to the pre-show reception as well.

What is the Pre-Show Reception?

The pre-show reception is held from 4:30-5:30pm and it allows guest to mix and mingle while supporting local vendors, listen to great music, provides refreshments etc. It also allows VIP ticket holders to come back stage and take pictures with A dancer of their choice.

May I take photos or videos?

BEFORE the performance starts, we encourage you to take photos and videos—feel free to tag us on Instagram & FB @SecondDhanceDancePhilly before you turn off your device to enjoy the performance! Please remember that photography, & videography of the performances is expressly prohibited.

When Should I applaud?

Customary practice is to allow applause as the crowd feels moved, emotional, proud, inspired, or simply wanting to offer encouragement, we allow and appreciate your applause. This can be during or after a performance. However, please refrain from distracting words and vulgar language.

Is there any profanity in any of the music?

There is one song throughout the entire show that does have a(1) profane word.

What is will call? Where do I find it?

Will call is the check in station where a patron can pick up tickets that have been ordered/reserved in their name and paid for in advance.

How will tickets be checked?

All Physical tickets will be stubbed. All electronic tickets will be scanned, or will need to shown at the front door.

What If I need to leave early?

If you need to leave the performance early, we ask that you leave at a point in the performance when moving around would be of minimal disturbance to those around you, such as during the applause at the end of a song or during intermission.
