The Gift of Practice - A Day of Mindfulness in the Thich Nhat Hanh, Plum Village Tradtion will be led by Senior Order of Interbeing (OI) Member Avi Magidoff and is sponsored by OI Dharma teachers Peggy Smith and Theodate Lawlor. A simple, healthy vegetarian meal, with vegan options, will be provided. Please bring whatever you need for sitting meditation, outdoor walking meditation and deep relaxation. The teachings are freely offered. Dana gratefully accepted with your registration or at the event.

The registration fee covers the cost of the space and the meal. The teachings are freely offered.

What is dana?

Dana is a gift, or a form of giving. It is freely offered without expecting anything in return. In the Bhuddhist tradition, dana is often offered to teachers to support their practice.

Are scholarships available?

Yes! No one will be turned away. If you are in need of a scholarship, please let the registrar know, dsky227@gmail.com.

Are cushions, mats and/or chairs available?

Chairs for sitting are available. There will be a few extra cushions for sitting as well. If you have your own cushion, mat, bench, etc., it'd be best if you brought what you prefer for sitting meditation. Also, please bring a yoga mat and/or blankets for deep relaxation meditation.
