About this event

  • 6 hours

We look forward to seeing you in the beautiful gardens on June 8 - rain or shine!

A Marvelous Plot

Enjoy the many charming pieces of garden art and whimsical touches everywhere. Walk the winding pathway that leads through the south side of the garden with its multiple seating areas and small pond. Admire the beauty and elegance of massed grasses around the formal pool area.

A Happy Place

A garden where every inch is used to advantage! Pool equipment and the compost pile are efficiently hidden behind trellises and fencing; guests disperse between the patio/ grilling area and the fire pit; while the cathedral-ceilinged porch provides a central gathering-place and over-look of the whole garden.

Bienvenue aux Jardins du Château

A true estate garden, both from the size of the house and the five acres of mature gardens, beds, and trees that surround it. It includes vegetable as well as flower gardens, a beautiful fountain and iron arbors, lush areas of groundcovers, and a barn and shed to store tools and equipment.

A Tapestry Garden

While you will admire the beautiful effect of intermingling sedums and groundcovers that give this garden its name, it could also be called a memory garden – the various statuary paying tribute to the owners’ travels or placed in remembrance of a father, a daughter, and other family members.

14th Out of Bounds

The arrival of golf balls gave this garden its name. A dramatic, sloped garden of vibrant annuals surround the pool. Garden sculptures add focal points and a distinctive coleus lends its signature color throughout the property.

Allendale Allée
There’s lots of garden artistry here to admire and enjoy, from the topiaries, to an allée, an entrancing she-shed, and a garden chandelier. By adding terraces, the owners have mastered the sloping back-yard and offered multiple places to sit and enjoy the garden.

Outside In/Inside Out

Porticos, stone terraces, lots of boxwood-lined paths, and large swaths of beautifully manicured grass give this garden strong formal elements that ground the more naturally planted perennial beds.
