Join ICHS CEO Kelli Nomura for a compelling community conversation about the future of community health and health equity in King County. Our panel will be moderated by Enrique Cerna, and our panelists include Matías Valenzeula, Director of Equity and Community Partnerships for King County as well as our own ICHS Director of Community Health Services, Sherryl Grey.

There is no fee to join and all are welcome (subject to room capacity).

Panelist Speakers:

Kelli Nomura, MBA, MHP is the Chief Executive Officer of the International Community Health Services. Prior to her appointment in 2022, she served as an ICHS board member for over ten years in multiple roles. With an emphasis on strategic planning, Nomura has chaired committees and workgroups such as ICHS' Community Relations and Advocacy committee and been the co-chair of Strategic Planning. Prior to joining ICHS as CEO, Nomura served as division director for the Behavioral Health and Recovery Division of King County’s Department of Community and Human Services.

Matías Valenzuela, PhD, is the Director of the Office of Equity and Community Partnerships for Public Health – Seattle & King County. In the COVID-19 response, he directed Community Mitigation and Recovery. He was also co-lead in the county’s team for the declaration of Racism as a Public Health Crisis in June 2020. Previously starting in 2015, he was the first director of the Office of Equity and Social Justice in King County, spearheading a countywide effort to address the root causes of inequities, especially racism, working with all county agencies and the community.
