Join us at Fit Collective Studio at The Yard Social Club for a truly unique community experience. This first Sweat Summit Series event was conceived in the spirit of bringing together the diverse strengths and experiences of the communities who train, practice yoga, and share miles. Our morning together is designed to allow people to connect through movement, great food, and conversation.
9:00 am - Welcome and community-building exercises
9:30 am - Mindfulness and yoga-oriented movement focused on the breath and setting intentions for the morning. Session led by Marlies Lagace.
10:00 am - Community-style partner workout led by Ashley Mathewson. high-energy, full-body workout designed to meet you at your level of readiness. 6-minute dynamic warm-up followed by two 12-minute rotations.
10:30 am - Share miles with The Corners Run Crew on this flat out-and-back route which allows you to select your own pace and distance. Led by Colin Strickland.
11:00 am - 12:00 PM - Community hang! Cool down and chill out with delicious food from Stoke Deli Bar and coffee/refreshments from Groundswell Coffee.
Everybody is welcome, although space will be limited.
The Sweat Summit Series is a 2SLGBTQ+, BIPOC, Body-positive, safe space.
Workouts will be scaled to meet you at your ability and comfort level.
This event is shine-only. A rain date has tentatively been set for June 2nd.
Prizes and giveaways will also be provided by lululemon at the Pen Centre, who are generously sponsoring this event.
All profits from this event will be directed to the Kristen French Child Advocacy Centre Niagara.
