What to expect: How are you using the first 5 minutes of class? Critically reflect and investigate this question through sessions rooted in research and Danielson Domain 2. You'll deepen your understanding of classroom culture, opening routines, student voice, and explore how crucial it is to help establish a positive culture for learning, motivate students, and build community.
This series is best for: Classroom teachers, grades 6-12
By the end of this series, you'll be able to: Analyze the theories behind classroom culture, identify best practices in using physical space to support instructional purposes, rehearse/consider implementing anticipatory sets with a variety of routines/techniques, and engage in a cycle of inquiry to support your practice.

To pay for your attendance using a purchase order: reach out to cpet@tc.edu to initiate this process. After we have received a PO from your school, we will provide them with a promo code to distribute to the teachers they are funding. A PO must be created by your school & received by CPET by January 23rd in order for a promo code to be generated. The promo code will discount your registration 100% so that there is no out-of-pocket cost to you. You will still be required to complete a registration form.
To pay using a credit card: simply complete the registration form through Eventbrite. You will be asked for your credit card information at that time.
To pay using your New Teacher Network membership: NTN@TC members are welcome to register & attend, but there is no member discount for this series. Please check out our other series for discounted options.
