This concert begins with a side-by-side performance of the Buford Highway Children's Orchestra and players from the Georgia Philharmonic performing a world-premiere of a specially commissioned work by Michael Kurth. The Georgia Philharmonic then takes the stage to perform Sensemaya by Revueltas. Our guest soloist, Helen Kim, will then perform Michael Kurth's Violin Concerto with the Georgia Philharmonic. The concert concludes with Stravinsky's Firebird Suite.
