The Fifth Element: A Curated Party
Come party with Curated Storefront and help us celebrate ART as the element that connects us to each other and our individual experiences!
Many ancient cultures categorized the world around them into four basic elements: earth, wind, fire, and water. Some of them even conceived of a fifth element. In some instances, it fills space and accounts for unseen forces, or connects the other four elements. In other philosophical discourse it gives us the ability to hear and be heard; in other words: communicate. Art has this power to connect, unify, and communicate.
On May 18, 6-10pm at Bounce Innovation Hub, Curated Storefront will be celebrating ART as the conduit through which we express ourselves and our experiences. It is the element we employ to stitch together the different fabrics of our city.
The evening will feature food, music, and art powered by some of our awesome regional creatives. More details to follow.
Tickets:
Each general admission ticket will include access to the party, a cash bar, food provided by local Akron favorites, art experiences, and live music. You will also be able to pose for live drawing sessions by Katie Strobel and Andra Benninghoff, and take part in a paper folding activity with Kimberly Porter. General admission guests have the option to take part in one of the VIP experiences for an additional $10.
VIP access will include all the general admission items plus 2 complimentary tickets for alcoholic drinks, and unlimited non-alcoholic drinks. You'll also get free access to a risograph printing activity by Micah Kraus, a sand casting activity by G.A. Lewis, and an exclusive sneak peek of the Hieronymus collection.

Entertainment:
Smokeface will be our musical guest for the evening from 8-10pm. SmokeFace, an Akron-based bassist and producer, will be stirring up all the elements with his band for a jazz and fusion hip hop brew steeped in a variety of musical influences.
Dr. Lady J and Maja Jera are bringing the fire with drag performances throughout the evening. Guests are encouraged to tip the performers.
Costume Contest:
Have some fun with your outfit. We're looking for fun interpretations of your favorite element, whether classic or straight from the periodic table. You can even dress up as a character from the movie. First, second, and third-place winners, to be selected by audience response, will receive fun prizes!
Can I attend the event as a volunteer?
Yes! We need volunteers to help with everything from set up, check in, clean up, and more. Email julian@curatedstorefront.org to sign up as a volunteer.
