The Villanova University Department of TheatreoffersaMaster of Arts degree, aMaster of Arts degree with a certificate in Nonprofit Managementand agraduate certificate in practical theatre. Classes are taught by ouraward-winning facultywho have distinguished themselves in the field of professional theatre: directing, writing, designing, acting, and producing. Villanova's program is the only theatre M.A. in the United States that places equal emphasis on scholarly and creative work.Students undergo a rigorouscourse of studythat is a combination of scholarly, artistic, and practical approaches to theatre.  The comprehensive M.A. provides crucial tools for the developing theatre practitioner, educator, or scholar.  Students matriculate into the program from a wide variety of undergraduate majors, spanning the humanities and the sciences.  The result is a vibrant, diverse community of scholars with a passion for theatre as a common denominator.Theatre departmentfaculty, in conjunction with afull-time staff, produce afour-show seasonof plays; students enrolled in the M.A. and graduate certification programs participate in the theatre season in the areas of acting, stage management, dramaturgy, public relations, scenic and costume construction, and technical theatre support.

About The Evaluation Room:
Step inside The Evaluation Room where fate is decided with bureaucratic efficiency. Frank has just arrived in the ER, but she cannot figure out why she’s there. As Frank attempts to navigate this unfamiliar world, she forms a bond with Ree who has been stuck in the waiting room for ages. The two women forge a friendship through a shared longing for redemption. Their alliance provokes Frank to break the rules of the ER, but will she be successful in attempting to re-write history?
This exciting world premiere production is written by second year graduate student Kristin Miller, and directed by second year Meg Trelease. The Evaluation Room features a powerful ensemble of Villanova performers: Jess Otterbine, Amanda Coffin, Mark Wheeler, John Lauer, Ebeth Campbell, Elise D'Avella and Elizabeth Meisenzahl. Time outside the ER moves forward. But inside The Evaluation Room, the waiting time is without end.
Performance Schedule & Venue Information: The Villanova University Theatre Dept. is proud to present The Evaluation Room, the first graduate student produced Studio show, running January 26-31, in the Vasey Hall Studio.
Important Update:  Due to the imclement weather our team of artists have to cancel our preview performance on Tuesday, January 26th.
Wednesday, January 27: Preview performance  Thursday, January 28: Opening Night with post-show reception
