Do I need to have a story I'm already working on?

Accepted Answer

A project in-progress is GREAT, but not necessary. You'll still gain great insights into how to adjust your process to accommodate a more holistic approach.

Will there be worksheets?

Yes! You will be given brief worksheets to help guide your writing exercises throughout the workshop.

Question 3

Will there be homework?

Accepted Answer

Yes, but it is only to your benefit. If you don't do the homework, there is no harm in it, but you may also not gain as much from the workshop.

Question 4

If I can't stay the whole time, will this be recorded?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and you will have access to the recording for one (1) month. It will be private link, however, so no sharing allowed.

Question 5

Will there be time to ask questions during the workshop?

Accepted Answer

There will be a little time at the end of the workshop for questions, however we'll also give you access to our Facebook group so you can ask questions there for answers after we wrap.

Question 6

Will this be all lecture, or will there be time to write?

Accepted Answer

A bit of both! This workshop is an abbreviated version of the Break My Feature coaching series, so listening, reflecting, writing, and bouncing ideas off of other humans is at the heart of this event.

Question 7

Will I be required to have my camera on during the Zoom?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely not! This is about your writing, so whatever allows you to write best, do that. However, I highly recommend keeping your camera on when networking, asking questions, or generally talking with anyone over Zoom as it helps to build trust. Who knows, you may even meet a friend!
