About this event

Armed with the knowledge of a farmer, consumers can make better informed decisions when shopping for fruits and veggies. Dean Okimoto, former farmer and proprietor of the esteemed Nalo Farms, hosts a masterclass on the dos and don’ts of shopping for produce. Dean will cover a range of topics including why you should buy local, what to look for when shopping for produce, storing vegetables and fruits for our local climate and other tasty tidbits. Dean will also lead guests on a tour of the robust produce section in the ChillZone in addition to providing tasting samples along the way.


Guests are encouraged to ask questions along the way.


Note: ChefZone provides sterilized jackets, but guests may bring their own to wear during the ChillZone tour.
