The Dog Lick Creek Drama Society’s Sketchy Auditions

Local playwright Dorothy Segar Morgan brings the tiny Kentucky town of Dog Lick Creek, Kentucky to life with a zany group of actors/singers playing townspeople vying for roles in the hamlet’s new 1902 historical “play-within-a play”. A hilarious musical comedy ensues as the Dog Lick Creek Drama Society’s president, Maribelle May Jenkins, along with the Right Reverend Boyd Billy Bob Boone, Doctor Bernie Lipshitz and Miss Edith Beauregard oversee the auditions for Sheriff Wyatt Campbell, Madam Jolene Joy of the Pink Petunia Brothel, and Mother Superior Gisela Hildegard Schmidt. Hog calling, a bluegrass hootnanny and a cast of other colorful characters make this an immersive and fun-filled adventure in small town Appalachia.

Two performances on June 15th at 7pm and June 22nd at 7pm. Center for Spiritual Living 1756 Erringer Rd Ste 100 Simi Valley, Ca.
