The Dirty Dozen Brass Band
Celebrating over 45 years since their founding in 1977, the GRAMMY Award-winning New Orleans-based Dirty Dozen Brass Band has taken the traditional foundation of brass band music and incorporated it into a blend of genres, including bebop jazz, funk and R&B/soul. This unique sound, described by the band as a “musical gumbo”, has allowed the Dirty Dozen to tour across five continents and more than thirty countries, record twelve studio albums and collaborate with a range of artists from Modest Mouse to Widespread Panic to Norah Jones. Forty-five plus years later, the Dirty Dozen Brass Band is a world-famous music machine whose name is synonymous with genre-bending romps and high-octane performances.
Nathan and the Zydeco Cha Chas
Nathan Williams provides a direct connection to Zydeco’s storied pioneers such as Clifton Chenier and Boozoo Chavis. The Cha-Chas have been voted the top Festival Band in the country, and have won the coveted Big Easy award for Best Zydeco Band for several years running.

About our Creekside Concerts:
Sylvester Manor Creekside Concerts are rain or shine outdoor events so bring a beach chair or blanket. Camp chairs are also welcome but must sit toward the back to not block the view of your fellow concertgoers. Gates will open at 4:15 pm. Children under 12 are free and do not require a ticket for entry. Insect and tick repellent are suggested.
You are welcome to bring your own food and drink to picnic. Additionally, food trucks will be on site and wine and beer will also be available for purchase.
