Frequently asked questions

How do we get to The Delegate?

The Delegate is on the corner of 9th St. and L St. NW and just north of the Marriott Marquis Hotel and just west of the Washington Convention Center. It's about a block west of the Mount Vernon Sq. Washington Convention Center Metro Station on the Green & Yellow Lines. Street parking is scarce.

Where can we park?

We recommend using the SpotHero app to find the closest and most affordable parking options for coming to The Delegate.

When should we get to the Hotel?

Please try to arrive 15 or 20 minutes prior to showtime. Unfortunately, most people these days seem to arrive just before the scheduled showtime. If you arrive 15 or 20 minutes before showtime, you can check in, find your seats, then take a few steps over to the bar and get a beverage for the show.

Are there public safety requirements due to the Covid-19 pandemic?

As of April 1, 2022, The DC Mayor's Office, The Delegate, and the DC Theater community have no specific safety mandates or requirements. We are committed to the safety and health of our staff and audiences and will adopt future mandates and requirements should they arise.

Are ID or age requirements for the show?

No. The Delegate has a wonderful, informal atmosphere. That said, this is a show designed to entertain adults, not kiddies. We recommend the show for 10 and up.

How can I contact the organizer with any questions?

Email Markcards@gmail.com or call or text 202-262-3617. Keep in mind if it is Saturday night between 5 and 6:30 or 8 and 9:30; we are probably on stage.

What is the refund policy?

Refunds are available up to 1 week prior to the show. After that, we will happily provide you with an Eventbrite credit to use for a future Magic Duel Show. Pease contact us before your ticketed show to arrange for the credit.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No, on your phone is fine.

Is my ticket transferrable to someone else?

Yes. You can do this yourself through Eventbrite or contact us to help you with the process. Email Markcards@gmail.com or text 202-262-3617.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

Yes. That's fine. Just have them give the ticketed person's name when they check in.
