About this event

Peace, Love, and Dismemberment - the flip side of a magical mystery tour, this "tragical history tour" will explore the dark side of utopian Greenwich Village bohemia. While the West Coast had the Manson Family, NYC had its own bizarre and mysterious and occult-tinged homicides. Spanning the halcyon-but-gritty era of 1958 - 1988, join us as we explore both the East and West Village on this tour - and shine a light on the hidden worlds of the hippies, the Beats, and the yuppies.

** NOTE -- All guests are requested to please bring a MetroCard or OMNY fare payment device for NYC/MTA public transit. We will take one short NYC public bus ride during the tour.

** Your tour guide -- Eddie Newton is New York City's leading true crime historian. He has been interviewed by The New York Times on the subject. He recently collaborated with Oxygen/NBCUniversal Television on their 2022 TV series, "New York Homicide". He is an attorney and 25-year resident of Manhattan.
