A relaxed, modern session designed for dads, stepdads and father figures who want to learn a few simple hair skills in a low-pressure environment, while connecting with other local dads along the way.

Created as an extension of THE EDIT. EDUCATION by Marianne, founded by local Bayside salon owner and educator Marianne Gay, this experience was designed to make everyday parenting moments feel easier, more connected and more confident.

No awkward networking.

No parenting lectures.

Just practical skills that genuinely help at home.

Whether it’s school drop-off, sports mornings, dance concerts, birthday parties or simply wanting to feel more capable doing your daughter’s hair, this session will teach simple styling and braiding techniques you can actually use in real life.

You’ll learn hands-on basics in a relaxed and approachable environment with guidance that feels practical, not overwhelming.

But THE DADDY EDIT. is about more than hair.

It’s about creating a space where dads feel included, capable and connected. A place where men can show up, learn something useful, have a drink, meet other dads and leave feeling more confident than when they arrived.

Numbers are intentionally limited to keep the experience personal, relaxed and genuine.
