Description

Welcome to The Cullclusion!

You don’t need to kill chop beans to know that winter is coming and so are the tournaments. The Cullclusion is a 3-day weekend-long event full of nonstop MURDER, and fun or whatever.

Beginning on November 18th with some fun warm-up matches, bulding up November 19th with an EU tournament and concluding on November 20th with the NA tournament grand finals - you won’t want to miss one of 2016’s biggest community Culling events to-date!

What separates this tournament from other community hosted tournaments?
A few things actually!

FIRST:
This is the BIGGEST prize pool in Culling History!
The total prize pool stands at a whopping $5500 dollars.
That’s enough to make somebody’s eyes pop right out of their heads! Or you could just use a baseball bat.

SECOND:
This is a ‘Cullmunity’ based event.
This means it is being organized and hosted in collaboration with members of the Cullmunity. We are also using the Cullmunity discord as our base for communicating game codes, broadcasting and overall Culling smack talk.

THIRD:
We have partnered with the Texas Homeless Network to make each entry count. THN is an organization based in Texas that supports service providers of shelter for the homeless. This means EVERY entry fee paid and every donation given from the start of the tournament until the winners are announced will be given to the organization in support of all the good they do.

FOURTH:
Pre-Qualifier Event!! In order to receive a VIP ticket into the Cullclusion you’re gonna have to fight for it.

With Thanksgiving right around the corner we wanted to jam in all the blood shed we could before everyone is too full and tired to run around the island anymore. The Cullclusion is the penultimate tournament of the year jam packed with some of your favorite casters from previous tournaments; 1Rain, Amanduuuh38 and new guests. Sign up now!!!

Here we’ll break down the rules, formatting, and any miscellaneous information you can imagine:

General Information

The Cullclusion will be a three day event November 18-20th. The EU Tournament will be split over 2 days with the preliminaries beginning at 6pm CET on November 18th and the EU Grand Final occuring 6pm CET (12pm CST) on November 19th. The NA tournament will also be split over two days with the preliminaries starting at the conclusion of the EU Finals and continue at 12pm CST on November 20th. There will be 56 EU participant slots and 84 NA participant slots. There will be an entry fee of $2. This fee will be used to cover both the event organization fees and transfers of the prize money to contestants.

Execution

  • All communication related to the tournament and your game codes will be conveyed in Discord - https://discord.gg/xd9wSz7

  • There will be interviews of winners after the match as well as a brief discussions with participants after. Please be attentive to your private messages.

  • Be ready to join queue about 15 minutes prior to the start of the match. If you are Prnot in the queue and/or have not contacted us by 5 minutes before scheduled time of match, your slot will be given away and you will not be refunded entry fee.

  • The moderators will ping you the game codes. If you are streaming be very careful not to reveal game code.

Scoring

There will be a point system in place to assist in giving the contestants the extra aggressive push they need. Points will be allotted as follows:

  • 1st place = 400 points

  • 2nd place = 200 points

  • 3rd place = 100 points

  • 1 kill = 100 points

In the case of a tie, the judges will defer to ‘time alive’. Meaning if 2 players have the exact same number of points, the person who lived longer will be higher up in the standings. Keep in mind the kills may be the difference between placing and not placing.

Tournament Format

We will start with 4 back-to-back preliminary rounds. The rounds will include 14 players + the co-casters. Each winner of these first 4 games will go directly to the finals. We will then host a losers bracket with the bottom 6 players of each of the preliminary games. The top 7 of the preliminary (excluding the winneer) will move on to the semi-finals. Then the top 4 contestants of each semi-final game will go to the finals. The final contestant will be a Wildcard.

The Cullclusion Rule Set

Disconnects/Game Restarts:

If you are disconnected from a game, please immediately reach out to one of the tournament staff/hosts to notify them. Specifics are detailed below.

  • Preliminaires

    • If there is a disconnect in the first 2 minutes and there is not currently any dead participants then a restart of the entire match will be done.

    • If there is a dead participant the disconnected person will try to be allocated a later game to replace no shows/missing contestants.

  • Non-Preliminaries

    • If there is a disconnect in the first 2 minutes and there is not currently any dead participants then a restart of the entire match will be done.

    • If there is dead participant then no restart will occur.

Disqualifications:

There will be no perk, item and/or drop bans. Talking in the spectator chat will be warned once, after which you may be disqualified. Any racism or harassment will lead to disqualification and permanent ban from participating in tournaments. Use common sense, if it would get you banned from Twitch it will get you disqualified from this tournament.

Participation Qualification:

If you have violated either Steam’s TOS (“Steam banned”) then you may not participate in the tournament. If you have been previously banned from the tournament cycle then you may not participate.

Rules are subject to change.
