The Conversation Between the Generations
The Conversation Between the Generations
The Citizens Association of Georgetown And L’Enfant Trust in collaboration with the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art - Washington Mid Atlantic Chapter Cordially invite you to a cocktail hour and presentation at
The Georgetown Club
May 20, 2025
6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
“The Conversation Between the Generations”
We are pleased to offer a unique program to answer restoration and renovation questions for Georgetown homeowners. As custodians of a historic house, be it Georgian, Federal, Italianate, or any other style, there are regulatory guidelines as well as aesthetics to consider.
We will present a panel of experts from the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art who will review the history of preservation in the neighborhood. We are honored to have architect Christian Zapatka and designer Zoë Feldman joining us as presenters. Lauren McHale, President and CEO of the L’Enfant Trust will discuss its important work in Georgetown and around our city. We will also address how to create a home that suits the owner and is sympathetic to the concerns of the community.
In addition to sharing your questions at the event, you are invited to email your questions in advance to Brittany Sawyer at brittany@cagtown.org.
Tickets are for $50 per person. Citizens Association of Georgetown members will have the first chance to buy tickets prior to being offered to the public, so order your tickets soon!
