The Complex Presents: Nyam & Plot
Nyam & Plot is an intimate, community driven event series bringing together film lovers, creators, and food enthusiasts for an elevated dinner and movie experience. We combine a curated multi-course menu with iconic guest selected cinema, giving guests a seat at the table to celebrate local culture and Caribbean storytelling.
How It Works
- 1. The Community Vote: Before each event, our community votes on the featured film. You help decide what hits the main screen, ensuring every gathering reflects the stories our audience wants to see.
- 2. The Pre-Show Showcase: We dedicate our preshow lineup to spotlighting emerging Caribbean filmmakers and visual creators. Before the main feature, enjoy a curated selection of short films, music videos, and 1–3 minute project trailers from regional talent.
- 3. The 5-Course Dinner: As the screen lights up, enjoy a thoughtfully crafted 5-course menu designed to complement the evening’s film and bring people together over great food and conversation.
- 4. The Discussion & Vibe: Stick around after the credits for post-screening reasoning, networking, and direct engagement with featured creators and fellow film enthusiasts.
