At The Golden Leaf in Chesterton, we believe a cigar lounge should be more than a place to sit and smoke. It should be a place where craft, culture, and conversation come together. The Cigar Maker Experience is an intimate, small-group session designed to pull back the curtain on cigar making and invite you into the tradition. This is not a class you watch. This is an experience you take part in.

What You’ll Experience

Begin with a walk through cigar history, tracing how cigars emerged, traveled the world, and became woven into the culture of early America. From there, step into our walk-in humidor for a guided look at how premium cigars are stored, aged, and selected.

We’ll follow the life of a cigar from the fields where the leaves are grown and cured to the lounges where they are finally enjoyed.

Next, you’ll watch a live rolling demonstration by a cigar roller trained in the Cuban style. Then it’s your turn. With one-on-one guidance at the table, you’ll hand-roll your own cigar using premium tobaccos and time-honored techniques.

When the work is done, we’ll move to the bar, light up together, and enjoy the cigars you just made.

• Please arrive 10 minutes early
• Class size is limited to four guests to keep the experience personal.
