THE CHASERS

After a decade of staging plays in living rooms and other non-traditional venues around New York City, our theatre company found a home in an industrial Greenpoint loft in 2023 and became known as the Brooklyn Center for Theatre Research (BCTR). Despite being off the beaten path, our shows were reviewed by The New York Times, New York Magazine and The Guardian, and made their way to San Francisco, London, Stockholm and Sydney. In 2026, we moved to a new location near Manhattan’s Union Square.

<p>Amnesiascope, a series of rare and remarkable films, presents Erik Løchen's THE CHASERS, a love triangle drama set in the Norwegian countryside during a duck chase. Though beloved in its native country and cocurrent with (if not outright preceding) the French New Wave in style, this feature is little-known elsewhere, making this a notable occasion.</p><p>As THE WORST PERSON IN THE WORLD director Joachim Trier tells it, "A great film talent."</p>
