Opera Upper West presents The Cell: La voix humaine/The Telephone in which the operas of Poulenc and Menotti are re-told in a contemporary world: Two women enter the cell to meet their lovers only to become irrevocably imprisoned in the psychological and technological space they inhabit.

The Cell is a part of NY Opera Fest (<A TARGET="_blank" HREF="http://nyoperafest.com" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">NYOperaFest.com</A>), a two month long festival made up of members of the New York Opera Alliance (<A TARGET="_blank" HREF="http://nyoperaalliance.org" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">NYOperaAlliance.org</A>). NYOA works in partnership with Opera America, the national service organization for opera and the nation's leading advocate for American Opera.
