Join the Trailhead Children’s Museum on August 2nd, 2025 for our 3rd Annual BIG SUMMER BASH! An outdoor, family friendly music festival, featuring Latin GRAMMY Award winning artist MISTER G. In this dynamic, interactive concert, you can look forward to a bilingual performance celebrating community, creativity and the beauty of the natural world. Come ready to sing and dance!
Your ticket to the BIG SUMMER BASH will include live music, face painting, and larger than life art and play experiences.
PLUS In 2025 the Bash is even bigger and better - we are adding a second day! Join us on August 1st for an Instrument Making Workshop with Colorado band The Mojo Birds. Create your own instrument, design and decorate, and learn a new song to share onstage at the Bash on August 2nd!

The BIG SUMMER BASH will benefit the Trailhead Children’s Museum, and allow us to continue providing critical development and learning opportunities through art and play to all of the local and visiting families in the Gunnison Valley. We love your furry friends, but ask that you leave them at home for this party!
There will be kid-friendly hot dogs and sliders available for purchase, as well as non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages. You may bring your own food, but please NO outside drinks.
We recommend that you take the Mtn. Express Town Shuttle from the 4-Way parking lot in Crested Butte. If you plan to drive, please take advantage of the free public parking on Snowmass Road and at 700 Gothic Road.
• Bring a blanket or camp chair to sit on; the Bash takes place on a grass lawn. • For the kids, we recommend wearing clothes that can get MESSY! There will be lots of messy art, bubbles, face paint, food, and more! • Bring layers - it gets cool once the sun goes down! •
YES! The Big Summer Bash is the Trailhead's biggest fundraiser of the year. Every dollar of your admission, your donations, and sponsorship goes directly into the Trailhead's year round art and play programs. By attending the Big Summer Bash, you are investing in our amazing community!
